Public Notice Resources for Purple Line's
Joint Permit Application and Forest Conservation Plan

Links below are the Public Notice and the supporting documents for the Joint Public Hearing by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE), Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) and Maryland Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) for the Maryland Transit Administration's (MTA) Purple Line Light Rail Project. The hearing is specific to the Project’s Joint Permit Application (JPA) and Forest Conservation Plan (FCP).

The ACOE and MDE’s JPA is a joint federal/state permit process required for alteration of any floodplain, waterway, or wetland. It also includes coordination and compliance with water quality standards, sensitive habitat criteria, and wild and scenic river protection measures, and historical property preservation. MDNR’s FCP evaluates impacts to and compensatory mitigation of forest areas within the project corridor.

FCP and supplemental FCP documents have been added below and are available at the following library locations. Hard copies can also be requested from the ACOE, MDE and MDNR reviewers.
